I posted that last week I got 4 gallons of diesel in my cherokee
well I replaced my fuel filter and dilluted it out with gas so it should be fine just smoke a little...well now it's starting (usually turns over about 6 or 7 times...) but once it starts it dies after about 3 seconds I took it to my mechanic and he took a gas sample and tested it and said it should be burning just fine so he can't figure it out, for a while it was getting really hard to start, any ideas guys?? thanks |

hmm....well the night that it got diesel put in it the battery died cuz after I drove home that night I left my lights on..
the next morning when I tried starting it it wasn't even starting, BUT it was doing a really freaky security thing I haven't ever seen before, it wasn't honking but it was flashing my brights and blinking and it finnally stopped after almost half an hour, I beleive when you start it the security lights still on right now....does anybody know if there's a security measure like that on the jeep? where it idles for 3 seconds and then shuts off again? |

THAT DID IT!
![]() ya it was a security thing, all I had to do was lock and unlock the doors then it honked three times and it was good to go now it's all fixed, I changed the plugs and it's running better than ever, accelerates real smooth now
