A?C Display flashing upon startup

My 94 Le Sabre with dual zone AC is now flashing the temperature for about 30 seconds upon starting the car. A few weeks ago the AC was blowing hot out of the pass side and cold out of the drivers. It seemed that the actuator motor wasnt working so I manually put it into "Cold" position and it was fine, but the next day it was back to blowing hot.

Any ideas

Jack

When it flashes, it is setting a code. Sounds like you need to replace the actuator and reset the codes.

How difficult and how expensive is it? It dosent seem like a lot of room to work with. I was releasing the glove box stops and letting fall towards the seat to get access to the actuator.

The actuator cost about $37.00 and has three screws holding it in place. It takes about 45 min to 1 hr to complete. Not hard, just tedious work.
