Power telescopic mirrors 1500
Has anyone converted their electric mirrors over to the power telescopic mirrors that come on some of the HD trucks? If so, where did you get them? I know they will bolt up, just not sure if the correct power switch is there. I saw some on ebay but it says they are a direct bolt up if you have power heated mirrors. I don't believe mine are heated since I only have the LS model.
Thanks |

Re: Power telescopic mirrors 1500
In July I spent 4 hours installing aftermarket telescoping towing mirrors on my brothers 2500HD non heated, power mirros truck. The company is powervision. They look real close to factory. They make any style you want, heated, non heated, manual, etc. They provide their own switch and all you need is a power source. We spliced the wires and placed the in/out switch below the center vent in the dash right of the climate controls. This is what you are trying to do correct?

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. Not sure if I can justify that kind of $ but I sure do need them when pulling my trailer.

If you have those two things - then switching your power mirrors to the Silverado camper mirrors with telescoping and heated is easy and takes less than 45 minutes total. Also the actual controls for the camper mirrors run off your normal power mirror controls already installed in your truck. Cost is about $250 list as I recall. I know often coupons come out for 10% off parts - so you could save some that way too tru the dealer. don't know if EBay would have any or not - just a couple ideas White Lightening |
