1982 camaro, brand new 350 crate motor, new carb.,wires, plugs, distributor,fuel pump, motor has a small shake, skip, not a smooth idle. also, sometimes when i turn over the engine and turn the key off the engine and starter keep turning over, or if i turn the key to start and crank it for a second it keeps turning over. any ideas. thanks

maybe it wasn't timed right? or a check the plugs they could have cracked when moving it or installation or anything, they're kinda fragile? I replaced plugs in my engine and it got that same shake or skip and found out I had a cracked plug. (I really have no idea, just a suggestion) I'm guessing you just got the short block? And have everything installed already?
