93 cav. wont run

i have a 93 cav. that ran out of gas one day,and hasnt been the same since. it initially wouldnt start. i had to walk away from it,or destroy it.
( this happens every day now) a few hrs later i return w/ more gas.
It fires rite up and idles fine. i go 1 mile or so and it straight dies.i crank on it a while & have it towed. I started w/ fuel. filter ,pump ,injectors ...
then spark.Im getting an itermitten spark. so i get a couple coils.
this works (so i think) i drove around the block yadda yadda. a little later i leave where im at, all is good. i bang a u turn, it dies..10 mins later it starts, i drive on for a while & it dies again. Now it seems to idle ok (when it actually starts) until i give it gas. then it dies.( i have to walk away again at this point) So now im thinkin ,Short. and i do find the two wires that plug into the injector harness are bare in the same spot, where they could have touched. so i fix this. fires up. dies when i gas it. (again i walk away) any ideas? anyone? any>
