98 century, rear turn signal doesn't work and bulb good
98 century limited, rear turn signal doesn't work, but break light is good, I replace the bulb with a new one, the same problem. The auto repair agents said it was a bad turn signal switch problem, need more than 500 bulks. Is there other possibility for this problem? Thanks

The bad news is your mechanic is probably correct and the turn signal switch assembly has a bad contact afffecting only the respective rear turn signal. The only other possibility is bad wiring but based on my GM service manual wiring diagram it's a straight wire from the output of the turn signal switch all the way to the rear of the car. The front signals have their own independent contacts and output from the turn signal switch. There are no fuses or fuseable links in the circuit. Good luck!
