I have a 99 Tracer Wagon with 112,000 miles. The car will try to shift into overdrive and very quickly decides to shift back to drive. It does this when I am going more than 40 mph and letting off the gas peddel and causes the car to jerk back and forth violently! I wish someone could tell me whats wrong with this car. I took it to a transmission shop and they charged me $45 to connect it to there diagnostic computer and said there was nothing wrong with it. Obviously, there is something wrong. I think they are scamming me. Anyone got any ideas? I've read other posts here from folks with the same problem, but no one seems to have an answer. any help is much appreciated.
