Adding Power Locks and Windows

I've been thinking about adding power locks and windows to my '93 S10 (Shortbox, reg cab,2.5L,5-spd,2wd). How much work is it? What year range of parts would be a compatible? How much would these parts likely cost from a scrap yard?
Thanks,
Eric

not to bad, find a fisrt gen with nice door pannels that have the option already, you will need to run all wires and relays, get the moters and actuators (windo moters and door selonoids) not had to do if you understand simple wiring, but it will be time consuming

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

I have a spare set of blue door panels. If Blazer's are the same.
I don't know how nice they are, since I've never paid attention to them.
I also have everything else here too.
I could take photo's

I'm 2 hours from Kelowna, if it's worth it for you to drive out and pull everything that you need

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

How much for the hardware and panels OverBoard? I might drive past there in a couple months when I go visit my sister in Alberta. I could wait till then if you'll still have it.

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

Get in touch with me at the time Eric.

If I still have the truck here the panels would be free, and the rest would be reasonable.

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

Hi, I might be going to Kelowna this weekend to check out a university there. Do you still have the truck? If so how much for the parts and how do I get there from Kelowna?
Thanks,
Eric

Unhappy Re: Weird Electrica Happenings

I have a 2000 S10 withn a weird electrical problem. Driving ,Usually at night and during acceleration, all the warning lights will come on and the speedometer will drop back towards zero momentarily. Nothing seems to be amiss otherwise. The engine continues to run and the charging system shows no deviations. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

You might want to start your own thread for that one raygates. At the bottom of this screen click the new thread button and give it a title then copy what you said here into the message.

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

Well I still have the blazer here, and you can have the parts if you pull them.

I actually live 1 1/2 hours from Kelowna, along the border.
Turn down Hwy33, and go to the end, then turn L

The problem is I'm probably going to or moving to Courtney, or Langara Island on Friday.

But someone might be around

I'll PM you the phone number here, just give the place a call and see what's up

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

Alright, I'll do that. If you move to Courtenay would the blazer end up there? I live in Campbell River and that would be a lot easier, but you probably wouldn't be bringing a parts car that far eh?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Adding Power Locks and Windows

The parts blazer will stay here.

But if I end up in Courtney I'll have to give you a shout sometime.
I've only met 1 person from AF
