Wires Question
ok my spark plug wires on the left side touch the headrs, its a 302 1990, i got the 8mm ones and i noticed to day is that they some what melted from touching the headers, also im going to be putting in a 351 when i get the 351 headers do you think im going to have the same problem, am i the only one with this problem, i think there bbk headers, i think they dont say it any were, that is just what i was told when i bought the car, i know it does have bbk X pipe, thanks.

Just get some wire looms to keep the wires off of the headers. I had the same problem with the 302 in my truck. But since its just a work truck I zip tied the wires and all 4 on each side being tied together are stiff enough to keep off the headers.

o my bad, not the wire touches it the boot itself sits on the headers, and it melted and turnded brown and cracked and now i can see the spark jumping to the headers.

Are you useing straight boots or angled boots? Sounds like you need to go to angled boots. My fried had a 355 chevy with block hugger headers that was the same way I think on the back 2 cylinders.
