Repeated Coil Failure
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo full time 4 wheel drive . In-Line 6 cyl.
Rough running for a few days then wouldn't start.
Ended up that there was very little spark coming from the COIL . Replaced coil and it ran fine for about 40 miles and then the first time out on the open highway ( the very next day ) it quit suddenly.
Replaced coil again, it runs great again .
What could be causing this ? PLUG WIRES ARE ONLY 3 WEEKS OLD. So that rules out the most common cause .
Anyone have anything else to check before I become suddenly stranded again ?
