no power on cold start
94 Crown Vic after sitting for few days when started you cant press on the gas to go anywhere till you warm up. if you try to go no matter how much you press on the gas the car wont get out of its own way if you press real light you will go but not very fast till you warm up and then she runs like a top. any Suggestions where to look?

Re: no power on cold start
I have the exact same problem, same year and everything, when it warms up you can feel the power coming back but now it dosent have the same power it use to have. I have no clue what it could be but im thinking its the spark plugs or the fuel injectors, sry no help but i just wanted you to know that your not the only one

Re: no power on cold start
That has all the symptoms of a dirty Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF sensor).
You can find cleaning instructions here: www.crownvic.net/tech/cleanmaf.htm |

Re: no power on cold start
if the engine revs its the trans, i doubt that it is the mass sensor that would cause it all the time. it might be the temp sensor if it dosn't rev.
