who installled it?? thats weird i have never heard of something like that. you might have got ripped off. i install DEI alarms and they are only about 200 - 300 installed and unlock all the doors. something sounds fishy if you ask me!!

I personally can't stand car alarms. With the exception of passive security systems (one's that won't allow your car to start) car alarms are nothing but a nuisence to the people around you. I am in the navy and there are about 4 or 5 cars in the parking lot who's car alarm will go off every time a jet flies by low. In my experiance and observations 99% of the time a car alarm goes off the owner just hits the button to turn it off without even looking to see if it is a "real" alarming situation......that's just my

if you get a good alarm and it is set properly it will not go off all the time and it will work fine and not have problems if installed correctly.

Re: karr security system you got one???

well keep in mind that the truck did not come with power doors or lock....well now it has one power lock when I deactivate the door opens when I turn the key it locks me inside I also checked to see if the alarm went off when I open the passanger door even though the door did not lock to my supprise the alarm activated but the door was not locked could that be the reason???? however I still feel the door lock should be one the other side as well Im calling on monday
