Does anyone know how to program the keyless entry for a 2002 Altima 2.5S? I have the remote but it needs to be programmed. Thanks

Re: Programming keyless entry for a 2002 Altima

i just got a remote from keylessride.com and i can tell you what it says. get in car and lock doors with drivers side panel. insert key into ignition and remove it six times within 10 secs, the lights should flash if done right. then put key in ignition and turn to ACC position within 5 secs, push any button on new remote - lights should flash. if you have an orig remote then unlock and lock the doors with the drivers side panel and then push any button on the old remote - lights should flash. if you dont do that the old remote, the paper says its useless, as the code changes, or something. anyway, hope ive helped out.

Re: Programming keyless entry for a 2002 Altima

The KR site was twice what I paid for a brand new remote, but the instructions are basically the same

1) New ID code has to be manually entered whenever replacing remote control or LCU 05, or adding additional remote control(s). To enter ID code, perform
steps 2) and 3).

2)Close and lock all doors. Erase original ID code(s) by inserting and removing key from ignition switch more than 6 times within 10 seconds. Hazard warning lights should flash twice.

3) Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Push lock button on new remote control once. Hazard warning lights should flash twice, indicating ID code for new remote control has been entered.

4) To enter additional remote control ID code(s), unlock driver's door and then lock it using door lock knob. Press lock button on new remote control once to enter ID code.

5) A maximum of 4 remote control ID codes can be entered. If same ID code is entered more than once, the entry is ignored even through hazard warning light will still flash. To exit progrmming (ID entry) mode, open driver's door.
