Are all the blocks to a D-series engine the same or not. Example is the: is the d15b2 block the same as a d16z6 or the d16a6 the same as a d16y8...ect. i was just wondering because i know how you can bolt up d-series heads to other d-series blocks

Re: D series block
d16 and d15 blocks have different bores (difference of .5mm). the strokes are also different between the d16 and the d15. rod strengths vary as well as the tops of the pistons, in all the blocks. some have oil control "jets" and others don't.
yes u can bolt any sohc d-series head to any sohc d-series block. but r they all the same, no.

Re: D series block
Also the crank sizes are different, you can't use a .15 crank in a 1.6 or vice versa.
