Oil requirements
I was browsing ebay when i came across a 05 taurus! The oil cap says to use 5w-20! In comparison with old models of same engine why the difference?
Off topic: Also i wanted to let you all know that my trans went out. I have say the problem is the forward clutch pin snaped. I have reverse but no foward gears. It seems the design of the AX4s is problem matic. Also the shifting pattern is annoying with the pauses after first gear. Has any one driven a vulcan with AX4s and AX4n?? If so does the 4n do a much better job over the 4s? |

Re: Oil requirements
in gen 3 they told you to use 5W-20 in the Taurus in order for it to get better fuel mileage as fuel the 5W-20 is less viscous, it loads the oil pump less to pump it. However, you can use 5W-30 and it will work perfectly fine.

Re: Oil requirements
Another couple things different you might notice on the '05, no sway bars and adjustable pedals are gone.
