WHeel Protection

I just got my wheels and don't have a car alarm (recommendations??) yet.

So as far as protection goes I want to get some wheel locks right quick.

THis is what I"m going for

http://jcwhitney.com/item.jhtml?ITEMID=43759&BQ=jcw2

let me know what you all think. are they good, worthwhile, brand name?

also I need them short because my center caps from my wheels won't fit because the stock honda lug nuts are to big (tall wise), so what measurements do I need? I have a 2000 civic ex sedan

let me know what you all think any ideas and info appreciated...

peace

What wheels did you get? When I got my rims it came with all new lugs with a key....without that key I can't get any of my lugs off.

Re: WHeel Protection

those are just lug nuts not lock lug nuts.
what you probably should look for is some thing like this -> http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=5548
those are 7 side lug nuts, still they aren't lock lug nuts, but for some body who wants to steal your rims needs to have a key or 4 regular sockets to hammer them on those lug nuts to take one wheel off.

I bought the team dynamics wheels in 17" they didn't come with jack...

what wheels did you get how much were they?

See as for those locks I just need to make shure they fit my civic
so 12mm x 1.25" is the correct size for me?

and right now My wheels don't have the centers caps on them because the stock honda lug nuts stick out to far and won't let the caps fit on so right now my lugs are exposed...

in order to amend that all I have to do is specify that I want "small diameter" ? is that correct?

thanks all

Kyokugen Lightweight lug nuts are small and they'll fit under cap.

and you will need 12x1.5

FOR SOME BODY WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT IS LOCKING LUG NUTS ARE.

LOCKING LUG NUTS HAVE UNIQUE PATTERN, SO NO OTHER KEY WILL FIT ONTO LUG NUT.

KYOKUGEN LUG NUTS HAVE 7 SIDES, SO THERE IS NOTHING UNIQUE ABOUT THAT. IF I WANT TO STEAL SOMEBODIES RIMS ALL I NEED TO HAVE IS A KYOKUGEN KEY, WHICH IS ONLY $20.00 AND IT WILL FIT ON ANY KYOKUGEN LUG NUT.
