95 tranny problems

Gooday all
It seems the transmission in dodge products are quite the piece of work
I recently got a 95 Intrepid for dirt cheap with one problem-no reverse
the car goes fine in forward it will shift above 2nd
this is the third tranny in this car but the other 2 had the other problems
I generally read about in this forum
I have replaced the fluid with the proper Mopar fluid and filter
any other ideas would be helpful
thanks Ken

Re: 95 tranny problems

your solenoid pack is probably bad. Go to a shop and have them see if they can manually engage the solenoids through a scanner. If it has problems working then, you have a bad solenoid pack. If you're going to pursue that, you'll also need to have your TCM reprogrammed, that's a standard procedure that has to be done whenever a solenoid pack is replaced.
