This is just a guess..... I'd check the condtion of the ground wires by the battery. I'm not sure if a 95 is simular to a 97. I had my tranny shif or should I say no shift because of a poor ground in this area.

Re: 95 buick trans big problem

If it is locked in 2cnd gear it could be in default, because there is no pcm signal, or the solenoid for 2cnd is stuck on or the valve is stuck. Any related mechanical or electrical anomoly in this operating system can cause this, again it is the shop's responsibility to make it right. The reason for the problem can only be determined by on site hands on analysis.

Talking 95 buick tranny problem

it would appear after replacing the solenoid , the main computer and the neutral safety switch that the transmission is now i better working order, have driven the car for 4 days now without problem, i did however install a external transmission cooler, car has 127,000 miles on it and hope the cooler will prolong the transmission life, thank you to everyone that helped me, especially MAXWEDGE, he gave me a lot to go on and kept me informed of things to look for.
