it's a 2.4L engine, i'm not much of a mechanic, have had it in the shop 4 or 5 times now, had the fuel injectors flushed, plugs, wires, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor all have been changed. had fuel pump tested and seems to be good. there is no set pattern to this stall problem, the only thing that seems consistent is that it happens under 25mph, when you're slowing to stop or turn. any ideas?? Last person who looked at it thought it might have been bad fuel so i added water remover and Lucas fuel treatment to the last tank of premium gas i put in (after running the tank almost empty)

I had that happen to me. It came and went for a time then it started stalling consistantly. I added Seafoam fuel injector/carb cleaner and it seems to do the trick. I should probably take it into the shot to get it cleaned out though. I'm not much of a mechanic myself but did you check your idle settings?

Check all the vacuum lines. Does it stall if you have it in neutral with the parking brake on? Are you only having problems when you are stepping on the brake pedal?

the vacuum lines were checked, and the problem happens when i let off the gas, if its going over 25mph there isn't a problem. it's also gotten hard to start it tries but takes a couple of minutes to get it to stay running, i'm hesitent to use the parking brake as i don't know if it was used in the past, but it will stall in park, on another thread someone mentioned the fuel pressure regulator, i'm not familiar with this part, and am wondering if this could be the problem. thanks for your suggestions. one thing i didn't post is that the truck is an automatic.
