Hi. We went to Autozone and they checked the codes and it said code P1870. I looked it up on here, but it doesn't say what needs to be done to fix it. Any ideas?

Re: HELP!! Code P1870 what do we do?
A transmission component slipped and the computer caught it...might be a clutch pack or the torque converter clutch. If the transmission fluid has never been changed, it's now time and may solve the problem because low trans fluid pressure due to a clogged filter will also let a component slip causing the trouble code. I'd have a general repair shop do the filter job to avoid feeling bad about your favorite trans shop if this doesn't fix your problem.

Re: HELP!! Code P1870 what do we do?
P1870 does mean component slipping. The valve-body is usually the culprit there. I do agree with the previous post ... try changing the filter and fluid first to see if that doesn't do the trick ...
