Power steering leak...

Ok 1989 Crown Vic LTD, 5.0 etc. Powersteering has a Leak. There are two lines comming from the pump. One on bottom, return I think, And then there is A much bigger one with metal fittings etc. The larger line is leaking at the connection to the powersteering pump and it only seems to happen when I start the car. The connection is tight. Or at least I can't tighten it anymore. Is this a leak due to the pump, or is it a faulty line. Should I replace the line or the pump or both?

take the line off and replace the little nylon oring on the p/s line.if that does not take care of it you will need to replace the line
