Unhappy Ok... Im stumped...

Ok, as someof you know, im running a b18c1 in my 93 Civic EX.... im running Uberdata with closed loop disabled because im running it off my PLX M-300 for datalogging... now whenever the car is running and i hit the horn OR unlock my doors using the door lock button, it throws a CEL... i pulled the codes off my ECU and the only one is a Solid CEL, which i believe is the ECU code... but other than that it runs fine... any ideas? i sorta need this fixed by the end of the month so i can get my inspection sticker... Thanks in advance.

Re: Ok... Im stumped...

Because this is swap maybe some wires got crossed during the build. This is very weird I've never heard of this problem before. I feel bad for you, because there is nothing I hate more than electrical problems!!

Re: Ok... Im stumped...

i dont think that could be it, because i ran the new engine for 5000 miles before this started happening.

Grounds, check em all, alot of times if you are running any kinda external connection system their can be residual energy. i would take the time to get a ground kit for your non-engine components. make sure the solder hasn;t over heated and maybe dizzled somewhere. like 97 said, theres probly something crossed or even more likly touching. another question, do you have the right ECU in, is there a engine man. or do you have a piggy back. i had a simular problem in my accord.
