parking brake adjustment

Hello ! Is there an adjustment nut or something on the back wheel , every thing looks good up front but the brake is not applying at all . thanks !!!

If there is no tension at all when you push the parking brake down then one of the cables connectors probably broke. I had to replace the connector on both of my cars. They tend to rust.

There are actually two cable connectors between the rear wheels where the three cables meet. The larger one connects the foot pedal and the left rear wheel. This one is more heavy duty I guess you could call it and not the one that is prone to breaking. It's the other one that joins the right rear cable. It's pretty easy to see if it's broken just by looking under the car.

The replacement part is the one on the bottom:



This is usually found in the HELP! section of the auto parts store. The part number for the kit is 21123
