Lightbulb Transfer case with custom, special order Bondo applied

Hey - when I took my 95 Jimmy in to have everything looked over by a pro last Friday (to make sure that when I have my dad do the spider, nut kit and gasket replacement this weekend that there wasn't anything else 'hot' that needed to be done at the same time) I found out something REAL special.

Keep in mind that I am 1) a girl and 2) only the owner of this truck for about three weeks now, so there's a lot I'm still finding out about it!

Some JACKLEG has spackled up a CRACK in the transfer case with a combination of what appears to be Bondo and JB Weld.

I wish I was kidding.

Even though I'm just a girl....even *I* knew that you can't do that.

Good grief.

Good news is that I've located a transfer case for $250 exchange, so I'm on my way to having that replaced, as well.

HOPEFULLY, it ends there. We shall see!

Just thought you'd all be at least somewhat amused by that!

My god, I would find the previous owner and give them a beat down...It's amazing the way people jerry rig their stuff. If you can't do it right, don't do it at all...sheesh!

BTW, being a girl does not denote a lack of intelligence except when it comes to men...

Ha ha - if you need more than my gender to prove that I'm only of average or below intelligence....I'm an engineer. Now you know! Fire away! Ha!

But seriously, folks....this slack jawed moron might as well have just wrapped a few thick rubber bands around the transfer case. That would have probably held up just as well.

At this point, I might just take this transfer case off and then have it bronzed and mounted for posterity. Ten bucks and a big, fat kiss to the most hysterically funny suggestion for what the little plaque should say!!

I'm in a worse boat, I'm a network engineer! Do you know who actually did it?

Plaque inscription: "Rednecks know no bounds" or "A tribute to the common senseless" or "WTF!?"
