Lumina SS vs Camaro Z28 (V8)

I was cruising once with my '96 Toyota camry estate down a highway on my way back home, when i stopped at light signal. Infront of me, stood two frequently seen Ls1s out here in Dubai, the camaro z28 driven by a local citizen, and the other was a lumina ss, driven also by a local.
Next thing i knew, they were revving their engines and seemed like they wanted to race each other. I thought like cool, this is my chance to see a true challenge between those two monsters, eventhough i knew their capabilities and could easily estimate the results. Seconds later, the light turned green, and the two cars flew ahead of me in a blasting Ls1 roar.
I sped, trying to catch up with them, but failed. The only thing i could grasp, eas that the bothe monsters where almost head to head, with the camaro getting the lead. Pretty unfortunate for the camaro, the damn ss was a 4 door sedan, and yet was able to hold up to the z28.

Anyway, i had the adrenaline rush up to my head for what i've seen, its pretty rare here in dubai that u see a drag race of two Ls1s, (well ,you do see them sometimes but quit rare!) , especially with that law here in the UAE that bands street racing.. and bla bla

Anyhow.... thats all about the race.. more TRUE races are yet to come
