factory alarm wiring?

my friend has a 99 sunfire (stickshift) i'm not sure of the size but i know it's a 4 cylender ... he just bought it a few months ago and suspected that it had a keyless entry/alarm already in it from the factory. he took it to an alarm place, and the guy told him that it has keyless entry but no alarm, sold him the clickers and they work for the keyless entry but the running lights don't light up when locking and when you lock it twice it dosn't beep. when you push the panic button you can hear the module in the trunk going , click click ...click click... and so on for like 5 to 10 min. but the horn must not be connected to it. if anyonw knows what the wires going into the "remote function activation module" do or how they get connected to the horn or the parking lights any info would help.
one more thing, when he turns the key and the check engine light and such come on to test themselves or whatever. one of them reads something like anti theft, but there is a theft guard on the factory cd player, so i'm wondering if he has an alarm thats not connected.

p.s. we'd like to hook his ground effect neons up to the keyless entry instead of the horn so that when you lock it twice instead of the horn beeping the ground effects wound blink once. and when he pushes the panic button they would blink on and off for 5 to 10 min. or till he pushed the button again.

I'm pretty sure that those cars dont come with an alarm which is why the lights dont flash and the horn doesnt beep when you press the lock button twice.

sunfire's do come with alarms bacause my sister has a 2000 with factory alarm and and even without an alarm the lights flash when you use the keyless entry remote, and when you lock it twice the horn beeps. i really need a wiring diagram for this unit.

They changed it in 2000. I stick with what I said before.
