okay i push the 4hi button works but when i switch back into 2hi, its still in 4hi innless i put it in reverse back up a few feet and then drive, then its back in 2 wheel i hate Chevy’s owned 3 of them and there just junk what’s wrong with this piece of shit

First off Chevys not crap that be a Ford sir.Next thing i usually goto go in reverse a little to get out of it but mines 14 years old.Do a search sure theres an answer somewhere.

Ok so your saying it doesnt go back into 2hi at all? Mine is a 2004 and when i push the 2hi button usually it takes a little while to go back into it. Up to 30 sec and it will always go back to 2hi. Now i can reverse and it will pop right back out.... Maybe you need to be a little more patient.

mine does the same. put it in 4X4 and i move forward i can still feel like the hubs still in. then after a few feet it kicks out. never tried it in reverse to see what happens. i always thought it was normal. i think as long as it doesn't stay in then its ok. just might be the way the syatem is.
