Re: rough idle

1 Gap in plugs wrong
2 Bad wires
3 One of the coils failed
4 vacuum leak
5 low fuel pressure
6 Dirty TB and IAS
7 Lost comression on one cylinder (stuck lifter)

How is the perfomance at different speed?
Mileage?
How many RPM at idle?
How bad is shaking?
Any codes or drivability probs?

Almost sounds like a British term.

How 'bout an EGR sticking open?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if you did that the car would do a hell of a lot worse than shake a little bit when it's stopped...

Re: rough idle

It might, just by some lucky coincidence though, or possibly the will of god...

Does it do the same thing when your under acceleration. How about when your stopped at a light and your car is in neutral? Might be a tranny issue.

Re: rough idle

Actually, my dumb ass did it (wired 'em up wrong). Just makes it feel like it's missing. Not even very violent, until you hit higher rpm's.

Re: rough idle

My car has a little bit of a rough idle as well especially when its a cold start in the morning. I think it has to do with my iac goin or its sticking. I wanna get some seafoam and run it through to clean everything out.

IAC is the issue. ITs probably dirty.

Seafoam, while being a good product, won't clean out your IAC. With a TPI fuel enters the manifold well after the IAC valve.
