1996 Stereo with out code
Hello:
I bougth this car and the stero is blocked. I need to know how to put the code in. Problem is Im in Mexico and cant go to the USA, I have taken the car to the Mexican Dealer but this being a US car they cant help me. I dont whant to spend money on this, I just need the stero for the news. How do I unock it? This is a 1996 Grand am. Please help. Tijuana Man

i dont believe you can put it in, needs to be taken to a US stealership.

Try doing a forum search for thesubject of a locked stereo, there may be some advice out there that could be of some help. If not have the Mexican dealer contact Pontiac. They have to have a way to help you get the proper code. It is usually associated with the VIN number and proof of ownership.
