Just so you know I have a 1999 Dodge Neon R/T. I have just bought some EL Wire, along with a triple duckbill socket switch (think that's the word for it). It has the prongs like it would fit in a outlet, yet they're labeled power, accessory, and ground. Along with the EL Wire is an already connected male-female connection along with one of those square one inch boxes (can't think of the name) with a 22 guage ground and 22 guage power wire connected (both need to be extended). Along with that I have 22 guage extension wire, connection fittings for the prongs on the switch, and spade endings in case I need another ground. On to what I know. I do know one of the ways to power it up is just to shove the power wire into a 12-volt fuse source (ie radio) and attach the ground to the area below the dashboard, but I also want to be able to manually turn it on and off so I have the switch. Question is, how would I go about putting everything together?

Re: Fuses, wiring, grounding...
if the plug is long enough, you have enough wire, and you are mechanically inclined, you can just wire it into the headlight switch. not a hard thing to do, but sometimes a book, like a haynes repair manual is helpful. just find the hot wire, ground wire, and then splice all together. splice as well, the remote into the switch itself.
