Engine swap options..

Hi guys..

Just got my late 96 modell escort CLX wagon, wich got a 1,6 ZETEC
engine. Now i would like to do some upgrades, like brakes, engine and suspension. I would love some pointers to what parts to use that doesnt require heavy modification. Like what engine that i could fit as easily as possible, that will give me as much power as possible. I dont want to change clutch, or gearbox, so I know its limited.

I would like disc brakes at the rear axle, wich should I use ?

What bigger front brakes can i fit ?

Any tips on recomended suspension ? running 17"

Recommended exhaust system ?

If i decide to change the whole package gearbox, clutch, engine
whats the best 'set' to fit ?

Im hoping to only use second hand parts if possible..
