Hey...check this out. It's more for a turbo. But it's an incredible deal on it, and it comes with EVERYTHING you could possibly need to install it. I found it cause I'm in the same boat as you. My dad just bought me an 03...and I'm picking it up in 3 days. So...here's what i found

Hope it helps some!

well, with posted dates that I see, you may have already bought the car, but if you havent look into just getting a SS model -comes with a supercharger- other wise adding a supercharger can get quite pricey.

For the cost it would take to supercharge a N/A 3800, you'd be better off getting the car setup for turbo-charging. More power out of it, only downside would be the 'turbo-lag'

It's not the supercharger or turbo depending on boost you have to worry about when racing a Series II/III 3800. It's the flaky 4T65E or 4T65E-HD tranny. Stock it's only good for continuous mid 13 second quarter miles. After that it's a ticking time bomb. Just my 2 cents.

Don't they manufacture higher-end transmission parts/ Complete 'race' transmissions now for Those motors? I agree the 4T65E especially is flaky.

Yes. Companies like Trasher and ZZPerformance have them available. And there's a company that makes one called the 65 T-Raptor.

Thought so, I pondered purchasing a Thrasher when my tranny was on its way out. Did pricing and decided it was in my better intrest to just get a new HD tranny like I had... Extra money it would have taked I'd much rather put towards other parts of the car right now. (Like its desperatly needed paintjob)
