Looking for a value

Alright its a 1969 chevy camaro original 327 "basically brand new" with 11:1 pistons, big cam, stainless valves, 3 angle valve job with hardened seats, eldebrock intake and carb, runs very strong. The transmission is a 400 turbo with a shift kit and a B&M holeshot convertor. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi with what I believe is a 373 gear. The frame and floor pans are in very good condition. The body does need little work on rear quarters.

Let me know what you think its worth just post a price, and ill let you know what i got it for later...

The engine was rebuilt once and cleaned completley the next owner that bought the car my uncle tore the engine down to make sure it was put togather correctly once he had taken it down he said it looked like a brand new engine just off the line. The first owner said the car had only about 500 miles on it since him and his brother had bought the car they never really drove it much other then to school and back. after it was put into storage and after they went to college their dad pulled it out and decided to sell it to my uncle who put over $4000 into the engine. Its running about 350HP and starts right up sounds beautiful specialy with that cam. My uncle was about to start body but decided to spend no more and sell it to me. Im 15 years old and its the car of my dreams, ive been wanting this car for about 2 years. No i dont want you to think just becuase he was my uncle he gave me a huge discount he did give me some what of one but only to where he made his money back. So really the engine is a 40 years old brand new which was worth about 3700 back then... The car is red with white stripes white vinal top and white interior. Which i will later change for black interior and paint it a dark sparkle blue with white stripes. But for now im still in the hole with my parents paid for most of my car but i couldnt afford all of it so let me know what you think its worth!!!

Re: Looking for a value

how bad is the body? like just a few rust spots or like a few rust holes and dents? and hows the vinyl top? any tears or leaks?

theres really no way to tell that...its like you trying to guess who much my house is worth....with a car that old there are thousands of factors that affect value....is it mostly original, options, condition, reliability...the list is endless but thats pretty awesome you got that cool of a car, i wish my parents could have helped me to get that cool of a first car...considering your uncle owned it, your parents helped you pay for it i'd say not much more than 5k

Congradu-Frickin'-lations... Does the story have a point? Or were you just wondering if this was a good deal?

Re: Re: Looking for a value

He's probably wondering if an 11k offer would be a good deal or not. Which is probably why he's asking us what we think it's worth. Try to get some pictures up and we'll be able to give you a better and more accurate answer. It's too hard to judge the value of a car without actually getting to see it.
