2001 Suburban makes rattling sound while driving
My 2001 Suburban makes a rattling noise when I press the gas. Not sure what is wrong with it. I was trying to troubleshoot what it might be, so I don't get taken advantage of when I take it into the shop. Any help is appreciated!

Where is the sound coming from? Could be the catalytic converter breaking up. When they come apart they can rattle like crazy. Does it rattle when parked and racing the engine or only while driving? |

Re: Re: 2001 Suburban makes rattling sound while driving
I'm assuming it is coming from somewhere underneath the hood. I can hear it even when I have the radio on low. I parked it several times and raced the engine and I didn't hear any rattling. Yesterday I tried it again and I thought I could distinctly hear a little of the rattling. For the most part though it is only making that noise while I'm driving.
