Re: superchargers

Alright you just got your automatice rebuilt? Why do you think you need a manual for a turbo?

I say turbo. Superchargers suck.

research, research, research...there are so many sites that break it down for you: turbo vs. supercharger...just google it even...yeah superchargers can give you instant HP (in some cases)...but hondas are known to respond better to a turbo, thats why so many people have them...i wanted to get a supercharger in my lude, but i did some research and found out that it would be a hell of alot more work than a turbo kit...especially making it fit. and also the lack of tuning ability compared to the turbo. so i guess...dont rush into it just yet...be picky : )

Nothing beats a roots type supercharger for bolt-on power. Don't let anyone talk you out of getting a supercharger. Suprechargers are good in their own right. If i had the chance to pair a jsrc with an smsp header, I would. Unfortunately I have a 4th gen, so turbo is the only feasible route.

Re: superchargers

haha so im gettin mixed replys...i dont have automatic i got a tiptronic...and i like it pretty well but i dunno im still doin research and shit so yea...just the last tuning shop i went to said id be better off with supercharger...but i would do a trubo if i didnt have to get a new tranny. but the only problem is that the dohc vtech says to only run 7 ps safely and i dont wanna fuck shit up so im not gonna run more than that other then to race...soooo yea...im gettin headers and cat back next week...as far as makin it fit i did read that its gonna be a bitch but the tuning shouldnt be to bad right..? im still somewhat new at this suff soo if you guys could correct me or whatever i would appreciate it...thanks for the comments so far..

Re: superchargers

Triptronic still doesnt compare with a manual. Also, its VTEC, just reminding you. If your properly tuned, you COULD run more than 7 psi, but thats really up to you. Header and a cat-back is a good idea, but let us know what kinda your getting first, because if your new to this, we wouldnt want to see you buy something crappy.
