Dont think so.. WS6 is just SS for the Camaro.. and Trans Am is Z28 for the Camaro.. plain and simple.

WS6 was an order code for the performance package which included (in 1987 anyway saw my brother's build sheet) 16" wheels, no speed limiter, upgraded suspension, things like that. I've seen it designated on earlier 70's ta's as well, not sure about early 90's tho...

Maybe he was TOLD its a WS.6? like some sticker on there or something that the last owner put on..who knows, i'd like to see it. BUT if its just a T/A with a ram air hood, i'd buy it for the right price.

Re: ws6

AFAIK... WS6 has some suspension and intake... Firehawk and SS were both the SLP models tho (well 97-02)

Re: ws6

SLP did not do the LS1 WS.6's, but they did do the LT1 WS.6's. Starting in 1996.

LS1 WS.6 added the Ram Air hood, larger rims (wider as well), 1LE suspension, and a lower airbox making the hood very functional.
