check engine light
Today is 9/18/05. I took my dodge stratus coupe 2001 to the dealership 7/8/05, because the check engine light came on.
But 4 days later it came on again and stayed on for 2 days. It was off again for 7 days. Then on again for 2. Off again for 10 days then back on for 2. My driving was never any different, why would the light come on then go off like this? No problems with the car, gas cap closed. If they performed a service and then the light still comes back on, did they forget something? Can they be held to "complete" the job? Or does this happen a lot and things just slip by the machanics?

try going to your local auto part store, like Autozone or Napa, and ask them to pull up the check engine light code. From what it appears is that you have an intermittent fault in your system. With 2001-newer vehicles, they are very sensitive and will set a code for things as small as the fuel level sensor not sending a certain voltage.

I have an 04 Dodge Stratus. I changed the oil with the right weight oil and the filter. The oil light came on kinda slowley and then was bright. We checked the oil light sending unit that was leaking! replaced it cleaned up the mess and again 1 day laiter the light is on. The motor is the 2.7. Anyone else help! Also the next morning was off and when warm was on. I only have 87k.
