timing belt 2000 kia sephia

could someone please give me step by step instruction on how to change broken timing belt on 1.8 dohc motor...I know that you should change the water pump but am clueless on timing belt...it is a 2000 kia sephia Thank you

I think that has been done on this board for the sephia or the riio... It's late now so I'm not going to look. but if you don't find i will look or post for you later... good luck.

there is no timing belt in the 2000 kia sephia. it's got a DIS, it doesn't need one.

There is a timing belt for the 2000 sephia. It is recommended to be changed every 60k miles. You do not have to replace the water pump unless you are feeling ambitious and or it is leaking. DIS is distributorless ignition system.

my son just changed the timing belt 2000 kia sephia, car will not start, he says that it is lined up correct. what is the problem, why the car want start
