ticking

I was wondering if anyone knows why my 2002 SC does a ticking noise when the engine is running.

Hard to know without hearing it. Some mild ticking is just normal mechanical noise. If you have ticking that is more pronounced when cold you might have a cracked manifold.

if your always on time with your oil changes than I would say your are hearing the fuel injectors if not check your dip stick if any varnish is present that you may have a build up of sluge in the crank case this causes premature wear hopfuly this is not the case.
