89 Turbo Starting Problems

Can any1 PLEASE help me
I just Purchased a 1989 Probe. And I am having problems Starting it.
I have to push in the Clutch to start my car but it will crank but not turn over.

sounds like a dead batt. or a bad starter, does it roll start easily.
