Cool In progress: 1971 Datsun 240z

i decided to start a new build for a local model contest. i will be building a 240z for the contest. so far ive sanded the mold lines, scribe the panel lines and started on the engine. tell me what you guys think of it so far.

ill be using Watanabes for the wheels

i made the headers from solder. this is my first time scratch building anything and i think i turned out really good.

heres another view of what it looks like

Dude that is just twilight zone weird!

Looks good and I hope you enjoyed making the exhasut headers. TOughest part for me was merging/collectors.

'update'

heres some progress of what ive been working on. i did the collectors and merged them together. it took a little bit to make them but i think they came out good. the collecter hung down to low so i had to cut some of the floor board out and reshape it so it wouldn't hang so low. when i did this i test fitted the petals to see it they would fit but they didn't fit on the lefthand side of the car , so i decided to make it a right hand drive . i think it came out pretty good for my first time trying it . still have some more clean up to do to it. tell me what you guys think of it so far.

Thanks for all the comments! Well i have some bad news. i was heating up some stuff on my work bench and the rear suspension was near by and before i knew it the suspension started to melt. So i will have to put a hold on this project until i can find anthor kit, so i can take the rear suspension out of it and put it on this one i will try to get some picks of it this weekend to show you guys what happened. So expect to see a new project from me or one of my older ones that i started a long time ago in the next day or two.
