Is it a 66?

I recently acquired a 66 mustang. The pink and reg. say it's a 66.....but the only thing I see different are the side moldings. They do'nt have the 3 lines on them. They're actually 65 moldings. Anyone?

since the first mustangs were half year cars it is probly a late 65 model car that was sold as a 66 or if it has been restored someone may have tried to make it in to a 65.....one way to tell that i know of is the gauge cluster if it has a round speedo it is a 66 if not it is a 65
