Silencer Off....nice feeling
Well, since Ive had my silencer on, it felt like I had a huge restriction along with an air compressor at high RPMs. I decided to remove it today using a plumbers pipe. It was basically a pipe with a bigger end on the end of it, almost like the pipe was 1/4" and the tip was like .2" bigger. It hooked right on the edge, and slipped after I pulled once, 2nd pull got it out, took maybe 2min tops.
So driving around, the exhaust is a lot louder, it kind of hurts my ears, but ill get used to it. What amazed me the most was wheel hop in 2nd gear along with it getting extremely quiet. It also feels like I have gained a lot more backend even though turbos hate exhausts. All in all, if you can deal with the sound, take out the silencer. I love the extra speed

Re: Silencer Off....nice feeling
Yea its ridiculous how big of a restriction that silencer is. I can deal with the loud exhaust for that much more power

Re: Silencer Off....nice feeling
if you dont care about noise you can run open downpipe. no cat. no catback.

Re: Silencer Off....nice feeling
Yea but that much noise would kill me, along with it getting a bit hotter from the gases under me lol.

Re: Silencer Off....nice feeling
but isn't that worth .03 seconds faster 0-60 time? j/k. I know its not that good of an idea, I was just being stupid i guess.
