Exclamation looking for a new or used a/c compressor

I have a 1994 grand prix se...3.1 ...looking to replace a/c compressor with clutch...my system currently full of freon but comp. or clutch will not do anything...replaced a/c relay to no avail...can anyone help me either locate one or???car has sat almost 2 years..

gravlinj,
Autozone lists them from anywhere from $200 to $400. These are new or remanufactured with the clutch. Personaly, I wouldn't get one from a "junk yard" as you don't know if they have been "exposed" (to air) or not. Unless you have inspected the vehicle it is coming out of yourself and there are no torn hoses or leaks you can detect(they are hard to see unless you know what to look for).

thank you for the info....I think i have pinpointed this problem down to the pressure switch..But i have contacted 3 auto parts stores and mine has 3 pins they say they can only locate 2 & 5 pin switches???where might i find the proper one???

Well, my wife's Grand Am has the same three prong set up and what I did for it was get a push-pull switch and connected one side to the + side of the battery inside to the switch then out to the + side of the A/C compressor. The only draw back to this is that you HAVE to remember to turn OFF the switch when not in use! Otherwise it works fine this way......
