97 Bird Dying When Coming To Stop

I have a 97 bird and it has been dying out a lot when i come to a stop and it basically turns off for a second while driving and kicks back on...the rpms just drop then it dies...my uncle is a mechanic and says it maybe the fuel pump because its not pushing at what it should be i think he said 29psi when it should be at 32 i believe...or he said the oxygen sensor...any help?

My book says the fuel pressure is normally 40psi in a '97. OK, everyone say it with me- Check your codes. How's that, cd6!

yassir---- how sweet to repeat------1,2,3, CHECK THE CODES 1,2,3,CHECK THE CODES-----CANT FIX THE CAR TILL YOU KNOW WHAT TO FIX--------- so much for the cheering career i guess bird has the specs though if youve got 29psi replace pump and filter---second thought recheck fuelpressure and unplug regulator should see a rise in pressure to max pump is capable of-----AFTER YOU CHECK FOR CLUES BY PULLING CODES LOLOLOLOLOL
