Lights flashing @ control

I had to take the interior out to replace heater core and after I put all back together my climate control lights start flashing whereas it never did before. Do I need to reset or could it possibly be that I missed a wire to be connected. My climate control I guess what you call is electronic control. Any help would be appriecated so the lights doesnt g flash anymore whenever I use the A/C or heater or fan speed. Thanks !

Recheck all the wiring connections. Do you mean the illumination lights that come on when you turn on the headlights or the control panel lights that tell you what temp it is set at? Was the battery still connected when you pulled the interior and wiring apart and put it back together?

The illumnation light that tells me what temp it is at doesnt flash just when you push a button to change speeds of fan or turn the a/c on or the heater just the yellow illumnation light that normally stay lit but after i changed heater core it starts flashing.. Yes battery was disconnected before the work is done.. I assume I might miss one wiring connector not plugged into the heater core box, everything still works fine except the flashing light...

I'm not familiar with the wiring of an '88 but I would still check the connection of that lamp circuit to be sure nothing is loose. Does the light keep flashing constantly after you press a button or does it remain lit after the button is pressed? Reach up under the dash and try wiggling wires while you watch the light.

i believe on that stretch of years the climate lights will flash telling you a fault is occuring now, like when service engine soon light on newer cars is flashing means a fault is happening right now check for disconnected wiring first then check for possible blend door sticking not letting door actuator move it resulting in trouble code flashing
