Adding AC refridgorant to 94 Explorer.
This problem has bugging me since the begining of summer. The person who used to do all that stuff for me has moved away... to make a long story short, I wanted to know how to do that myself. I know you need a hose or something and I already have that, I just need to know what to look for and how to do it. Thanks

Re: Adding AC refridgorant to 94 Explorer.
All that you need is a can of refridgerant. You can get some at Autozone or other part supply stores. Anyway in the back left corner of the engine is a black cylandar with a bunch of metal tubes on it. On top or on the side of the cylander should be a small cap. It may have an "L" on it. That is what you connect the coupler from the can hose to. On the right side of the engine should be a random silver pipe sticking pretty much straight up. There is a small cap on that too.
To refill it: turn car on, turn A/C on "Max" and to the coldest setting. Run car for approximately 3-4 minutes. Remove both caps that I had talked about earlier. Connect coupler to the port where you removed the cap from the black cylandar. Open can and fill. If you would like to know what can I am talking about go to: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...002308/c-10101 You don't need to buy it there, but, that is what I got and it works great. Hope This Helps. |
