Re: 85 fiero gt for free??
Beware of cheap or free Fieros that have sat for a long time.... Look out for rust damage on the unibody frame rails that could leave you with a unrepairable scrap heap (It happened to mine) Assuming you get a good'un, you could always go with what you know and put a small block 8 in it
The best website for V8 Fieros is , of course, www.v8archie.com For those on a limited budget or no need for all the work that comes with a custom swap, a salvage shortblock 3.1 or 3.4 is a simple bolt in deal, shave the stock Fiero heads, give them a healthy port and polish and some fresh valves and 3100/3400 springs, and slap em on with the stock(port matched) Fiero headers, intake and EFI, and you're got enough power to pass when necessary - or you feel like it - or just about anytime.

Wanted to buy: 86-88 Fiero GT, 5 speed, fixer-upper. Blown motor, no motor? No problem! Rusty unibodies need not apply. 74-79 Ramcharger or 100, slant or no motor - not interested in v8 - Overdrive 4 is a big plus, NO hopeless rust buckets!!! 3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L) Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????
