Thumbs down 96 Blazer Hood problem...

I've been hearing a weird thumping sound while driving and I practically tour the truck apart trying to find where the noise was coming from and today my dad asked me to bring him up to the bank and while driving he asked what’s that noise? And I said I have no idea and it took him all of 5 minutes to diagnosis the problem. He told me to pop the hood and he moved the hood and there is play on the passenger side hinge so when I got home I put a socket on it and the damn socket popped off and went into my fender. (I'm never getting that socket back!) Well, anyways I tried to tighten the bold by the windshield, but it’s tight as can be. The hood still has play in it on that side what else can I do??

On a side note I must say Blazers are very high maintenance.. I'm getting ready to blow it up..

Thanks You!!

Also, get the hood washers.

Then you will be fine.

Thank you very much I'll go tomorrow and pick them washers up, but does anyone have any idea on how to get that socket out of my fender or should I just leave it in there?

Almost forgot thanks BlazerLT for posting that thread!

P.S you laughing at me?
