high schoolers?
a friend approached me about taking my bug to the highschool for the rebuild..mostly minor. what do you guys think? we're in the south, so i know the kids are probably fairly handy with tools. we're a redneck community..and you knwo them rednecks. any comments?

As long as they have a good manual & are supervised by an instructor familiar with the engine. Too many people think they have to be easy to work on (it's a big lawnmower engine, isn't it?) & have no idea on what really needs to be done. Ask them about align boring & matching the thrust bearing to the case, both proceedures that need to be done by a machine shop with the right tools.

thems the answers i need. thank you. i didn't consider the finer points of it all. i guess even going all stock will require some fine tuning and delicate touches. i didn't look that deep. thanks
